Finished Cartoon

This is the finished product of my cartoon project and I must say that I am very proud of what I have created. The strongest aspect to this project has to be the connection of the T-shirt on my character and the background he stands in. Now if there was anything I could have improved on it has to be the jeans, due to the fact that they're black they don't give off a sense of light or darks it just remains dark altogether.
The tools I used to create this masterpiece were a scanner to place the original drawing on the computer, the pen and curve tool to outline the cartoon digitally, the brush tool to color in the whole cartoon, the dodge and burn tool to lighten and darken parts of the cartoon to give it a 3-D feeling, and finally the hue tool to change the color of the background to a deep blue hue.
To sum it all up I made a cartoon of myself and made sure it displayed my relaxed cool personality whilst making sure it looked relatively the same as me. If I had to rate my effort on this very project from a 1 to 10 I'd have to say 10 because I really did push to get this exactly as I wanted it to come out.

Polaroid Project

This project came out just how I hoped it would, in the beginning I thought it was bound to come out terrible, but I proved myself wrong. I'd even say that the strongest part of my project has to be the "A BATHING APE" & "STUSSY" logos. The way that they coincide with the very background of this project works perfectly and is ultimately appealing to the eye. Although the project came out pretty well I do feel as if I could have done better with that unorthodox separation of the arm from the body due to the split between polaroid's.
I was pushed into using the select tool to select the polaroid pieces and place them on top of the original image. After I had placed an individual polaroid down I begin a repetitive habit of placing a polaroid then using the lasso tool to get rid of any overlapping polaroid pieces. Once all of the polaroid's were laid I erased any outside parts of the original image. Finally I copy and pasted the background pieces aka. the "BAPE" camo and the "STUSSY" logo to give it a little flavor.
In the end I made this project visually appealing to the eye of any viewer and made sure to convey my message to the viewer with an assortment of words in order from left to right. If I had to rate my effort on this project from 1 to 10 I'd have to give myself a 8.
